Im so pissed now i think i can butcher/grab a hammer and tear down hougang polyclinic BRICK BY FREAKING BRICK.
first off, ok maybe what happened wasnt that bad after all, just that i got out of the wrong side of bed today and wasnt in a superb mood anyway, and the polyclinic had to go and rough things up.
anyway, i decided to go test my blood group after plans to go out were cancelled since i need to give the results to mdm teo by tuesday. and so, i went there and the registration counter was closed as it was lunchtime. so. i waited, the sign said it would be open at 130pm, but it didnt until 140. not much of a delay, but considering the super long line of patients waiting and the blistering HOT weather, i wasnt in the right mood for waiting. and the sight of so many people just sort of put me off, because i dont really like crowds in general. so finally it was my turn. i asked the nurse about how to go about getting a number to get my blood test, and she was quite polite, and told me to go to the laboratory area. NOW there;s when the trouble started. THAT counter was closed as well, and didnt open 15 minutes after the stated time, 2pm. talk about tardiness. In the meantime, since i dont know anything about the procedures, i went to ask this nurse (who came out of the lab), whether they had testing for blood groups. and she was like SO rude! at first she practically ignored me, then when i ran after her, she whirled around and was like : " what do you want?!"
so i repeated my question, and she just plainly glared at me (for no obvious reason?!) and told me to go back to the registration counter to ask the person on duty there. AND while i was halfway through explaining that the lady at the registration counter told me to come here, she interrupted and barked : "wait there until the counter opens!" fine. so i waited, but did anything happen? not bloody likely.they were busy attending to some patients who apparently got some slips of paper and THEY could see the doctor when their name was called. all i wanted to know was how to get that slip of paper and nobody could, or even BOTHERED to give me an answer. finally i decided i should just go ask the registration counter again. and they actually told me to go to the lab area AGAIN! crap, is this some sort of mutated ball game? im not a ball to be kicked around ok. and im sick and tired of always being dismissed or ignored or not taken seriously just because i look like a little girl!! so i waited around somemore, and effectively wasted like 2 hours doing NOTHING.
yea i know that people like us go polyclinics because the charges are cheaper, but you cant treat us like dirt ok? this is not the first time already. Nurses at polyclinics are always grouchy.. granted, you have to attend to alot of patients quickly and will get frustrated, but good service shouldnt be compromised with efficiency! and you DO get paid, for that matter. in fact, if i were rich, i would rather go to any general practioner than spend hours waiting. and i got my blood test after all-- at a GP near my house. the service was good (the doctor is currently my favourite), and i dont mind paying $25 for it, though my mother would probably screw me for paying so much when i could have gotten it free at the blasted polyclinic. and i think im probably going to get sued for slander with this post too, considering my lucky streak.
oh and my bad luck doesnt stop there. i went to lots of private clinics as well, unfortunately most of them didnt test for blood groups ( dont ask me why cuz i really dont know either) and it was raining and i got drenched. and i took bus 119 and got the SAME driver who drove the 113 which i took to go to the polyclinic, and since i was dripping wet he gave me a funny look. and then i went heartland mall for lunch and after that when i took 112 it was HIM again! damn it, doesnt he need a break or something?! and how can a driver drive so many different buses?! i seriously thought i was hallucinatng. this time he simply stared at me and i tried my best not to look at him hah. he probably thought i was crazy, running around hougang like nobody's business in wet clothes. ha bloody ha. hmmph
AND THEN when i finally reached home, i realised my guinea pigs had somehow broken out of their cage and were running amok in the house! and i had a GREAT time chasing them back and cleaning up the mess. *rolls eyes sacarstically* but i dont blame my pigs though, they are so cute! so, its all my bad luck i guess.. what a happening day. please dont let another day like this happen!!
