next week, i will begin my new career as a..... pri sch tuition teacher. o.0
of all people, i gotta teach pri sch kids, when i dont even like kids. haha.. oh wells too bad, i dunno why the agency jus keeps giving me pri sch assignments?? i realli have no idea where to start besides printing out their syllabus and trying to see how in the world can i teach a child to count to 1000 in a creative way, to explain what an adverb/pronoun/past participle when i have ZERO idea what they are anyway. isnt english jus stringing together a bunch of words and if it sounds right its probably right, right??? tats how i learnt my english anyway.. and i have to figure out what is the 聲母 and 韻母 in the hanyu pinyin thingie.. arh it sounds harder than i expected.. i hope the parents dont come n breathe down my neck during the lessons.. n i really dont wanna screw up the poor little kid's results more than how screwed it already is, or else they wont be needing a tutor right. haha.. and i really really hope they wil at least LISTEN to me, cuz through experience, not many ppl do listen to me hahah..see how it goes ba, in any case i die die have to 撐 through 1 mth or i have to pay the agency. =x
oh, and i suddenly have the urge to declare, i am proud to be an ASIAN! cuz of the recent shootings in a certain sch in US, i've read some comments by caucasians insulting asians and all that racist stuff, generally blaming asians for that tragic incident. i dont know, but tat just got me thinking.. why are asians always deemed inferior to caucasians? ya, we may not have the technology and wealth of the west, but tat doesnt mean we're always the subservient ppl right. why do tourism brochures always portray asian ppl to be the soft spoken ones serving the caucasian tourists? we are way past the age of colonialism already! why do we always go eeee when we see "made in china" but not when it says like，"product of America" or something? sadly speaking, im also guilty of that, which really implies tat deep in our hearts, do asians themselves see the caucasians as superior? this is really sounding like a gp essay haah, but this east-west divide thingie is kinda bothering me.. not tat i dont sympathise with the victims in this shooting incident, just tat this is not the first incident, and i think it definitely wont be the last, considering the gun laws in the US. whats more, it doesnt matter who is holding the gun, but the intent of the person. tat person cld have been caucasian, asian, african or even a martian! calling ppl "crazy oriental freaks" is not only unreasonable; its nowhere different from Hitler's warped theory of his Aryan master race being superior to all other races.
in any case, i wont swap my life for a caucasian's, cuz i get to watch great shows like 仙劍奇俠傳 and 少年楊家將 haha.. and yup, i ONLY listen to chinese songs, so what? call me cheena lor, im glad to be one. =)
